The bill passed the legislature and was vetoed by the governor.
Anti-Academic Freedom in Higher Education
This bill puts Florida colleges and universities at a disadvantage for recruiting top talent and allows for more government control over academic freedom. It was signed into law by Gov. DeSantis.

This bill makes numerous changes to Florida’s elections system, including creation of a statewide police force to allegedly investigate voting irregularities, which are rare and already closely monitored by local election officials. Attack on Local Decision-Making
This bill allows businesses to sue local governments if local rules and regulations could hurt their profits by 15 percent or more, with no cap on damages that taxpayers might have to pay. It would have prevented automatic paycheck deductions among other union-busting measures, such as adding anti-union language to membership forms and data collection requirements. It passed the House but died in the Senate.

It expands on the 2019 law that sought to ban so-called “sanctuary cities,” effectively precluding local actions to protect the interests and well-being of immigrants pursuing legitimate claims for asylum while awaiting court hearings. It was signed into law by Gov. DeSantis.
Condominium Safety Bill
This bill implements a safety inspection schedule for condominium buildings in the wake of the 2021 Surfside condominimum collapse that killed 98 Floridians. Criminal Justice "Deform"
This bill gives law enforcement discretion to press heightened charges on burglaries they allege were committed across county lines, without proving it was the case. It has the potential to unfarily target minority communities and result in unfair prison sentences. It was signed into law by Gov. DeSantis.
Criminal Justice Reform for Youth
Under this bill, Florida youth may expunge their arrest records with the exception of forcible felonies such as murder, rape, and kidnapping. Also strengthens requirements regarding access to tenant premises. It passed both chambers and awaits Gov. DeSantis' signature or veto.
Reducing Black Representation in Congress
This new political map for Florida's congressional districts was a direct attack on democracy and on Black representation by Gov. Ron DeSantis. It was signed into law by Gov. DeSantis.
Tax Reform & Consumer Affordability
